Pure Life

Costa Rica, without a doubt, embodies the spirit of "Pura Vida". I was fortunate to enjoy almost a month immersed in the biodiversity of this amazing country, but among all the memorable images I captured, one stood out as my favorite. It was this one, taken with a shutter speed of 1/4000, fast enough to freeze most living things on our planet, but not this tiny hummingbird.

In that split second, the hummingbird became a magical being, with four wings instead of the usual two. This peculiarity makes it a unique and special visual event, a true work of magic captured in a photograph.
